I thought it would be nice to have a separate thread of any other games or teams that might be of interest to someone (but without the former coach stuff). I in particular am interested mostly in non power conference games (except when the little guys take it to the big boys). However, I know many of you have different interests, so by all means, let's discuss them here.
For those interested in our upcoming home games, I'd check out a replay of Albany-Iona. Albany has a great backcourt in Joe Cremo and David Nichols; I was very impressed with Iona's athletic frontcourt. Both will be really challenging games for us, imo.
Also saw where Indiana State went into Bloomington and blew out Indiana in Archie Miller's debut. Big rebuilding job for the Hoosiers?

I think that Indiana State got paid $90,000 for the game to boot!

FINAL - UF 70, UNH 63. UNH made ten 3s to hang in. Florida outscored the Wildcats from the FT line, 31-9.
New Hampshire started three players from Texas, one from Florida, and one from Senegal. Only guy off the bench who scored is from Nigeria.

Sacred Heart got a win today over Maine. Always nice to see an HC opponent get wins
---------------------------------------
No HC connection, but Yale beat D-III Curry 107-42. Not sure how long Yale kept the starters in

Not sure how long Yale kept the starters in That's an odd game for Yale to play. One would think that they would play a NESCAC or a New Haven area team. Of course, the Curry AD is Vinnie Eruzione "84 so good for him for getting the game.

Of course, if they had the refs that we get at the Hart Center, that last second buzzer-beater by the Friars would have been called no good upon review and Belmont would have won. P.S. Hope you all, including refs everywhere, have a Happy Thanksgiving! The latter pretty much have a thankless job and only get recognized when they screw up a call.

If you missed it, last night's game between Notre Dame and Wichita State was probably the game of the year in the early parts of the season.
Check the highlights above, particularly the brilliant BLOB Brey drew up to get Martinas Geben the ball with a clear lane to the basket. You can't forget about the screener!

Omaha 0-6. Hahn has missed half the games, hard to tell why. School's press releases don't say anything.
I love this reason why they are starting the season with 7 straight road games
"Omaha plays 18 of its 30 games on the road in 2017-18, including seven straight to open the season while its home facility, Baxter Arena, played host to the U.S. Olympic Curling Trials."
Would never have thought Omaha, Nebraska had any connection to the sport of Curling!

Eeesh. Tough decision for a kid: HC and PL or ND and ACC. Coin flip for sure.

Watched the Thursday night game: Arizona State and Kansas State in Las Vegas and when I turned it on, I saw the Arizona Coach (Dan Hurley) arguing a call with an official. Couldn't believe it! Yes, the official was none other than Bill McCarthy! ! Later in the action the Kansas State Coach (Bruce Weber) also went at it with McCarthy over another call! ! Maybe Bill relocated from CT to the desert thus keeping him away from our games! !
