Gee NAD didn't know there were so many disqualifires in your question, thought you were looking for a mid major team that won with freshmen playing significant minutes, while the Harvard group may have been highly rated there were no one and done players and I don't think there's even a future pro in the group, for all the ballyhoo about Amakers recruits the only pro in the players he's coached is Jeremy Lin and he didn't recruit him. The three players you mentioned from last years team averaged 19 points a game, Floyd, Charles and Benzan average 29.

Just because there were no one and done frosh at Harvard does not change how highly rated they were in hs. NAD’s point, I believe, is in response to WG’s comparison of Harvard’s record with so many frosh compared to us this season, was that so many freshmen playing so much at the mid major level makes it difficult to achieve the success expected. NAD also compared Harvard’s 3 seniors last season with our none this year, not our 3 current juniors. Experienced Seniors are expected to perform at a consistently high level, which Harvard’s seniors did not do.

Harvard had no contributing juniors last year what's the difference each team had an empty class.

Do we have any scholarships available for next year? Not that I am aware of. I believe we are at the limit now - and with no seniors none will free up for next year

Methinks you guys are talking past one another. We are recruiting o 2018 recruits because we have no openings. 2019 recruits replace KC Pb JF and Ziggy. Troubling we have no one showing up on VC for 2019.

I think I have it now, NAD is looking for a successful mid major team dominated by freshmen with no more than 2 stars coming out of high school, with no seniors, and discounting contributions of other underclassmen.

It wouldn't surprise me if Carmody looks to go the Criswell route with Perkins, assuming that a doctor's evaluation shows he is medically unable to play.
Perkins remains on full-scholarship and can be a part of the team in the same capacity Criswell was, but we have a scholarship opening for 2018. This will help balance out the classes, too, since we are slated not to have a freshmen class next year. Or, Carmody could go the transfer route.

Is there any indication that Perkins’ injury situation is anywhere nearly as serious as Riley’s was ?

I think it is reasonable to assume that if Perkins (or anyone for that matter) got a diagnosis that said they could never play basketball again, that the staff would bring someone in next fall. We have heard from the radio broadcast that there's a surgery coming. It seems unlikely that he's so messed up there would be surgery that, if successful, would still leave Perkins unable to play.
From a distance, we might be frustrated that this kid hasn't suited up for two consecutive seasons, but there is still an expectation he will be in uniform for his senior year

I wonder if he’s having a re-surgery of an old surgery. That would certainly complicates things for his return. If the first surgery doesn’t work and the second surgery doesn’t work then by definition is he finished?

He's had how many surgery's in the past four years? At what point does the kid want to put more wear and tear on his body and go through another exhaustive rehab session?

The only thing I would not do is give Perkins a 5th year if he can't play his 4th but then is supposedly ready to give it a shot. Let him go play somewhere as a grad student, more power to him.
