We will never beat good teams with this soft, passive, lackadaisical style. One group looks like a D1 basketball team, the other does not. Weight room, weight room, weight room!!!! Does anyone monitor the supposed weight/strength training, even if basketball has a program??

Didn’t see or listen to game, but seems like much of the same. We look to be on the road to 23 losses. That is an average of 20 per year for last 3 years! Where do you see the silver liner with this staff? I do not see one. “Oh this team is young” ok, so with zero production from soph class, these fresh will improve so much next year at every position, we will turn it around. “And by the way, no new recruits” I see another repeat of 20 losses or more. We are eons behind Bucknell and have been a PL bottom feeder for years.
We are a bad program and have been for 10 years. The spiral down is continuing. Not sure who can change the course, but major upheaval is in order!

despite going 7/27 on threes Bucknell won by 20+ And could have won by 35 if they played their starters more than 25 minutes.

Methinks Bison 137 was playing with us a bit thinking line was out of whack. There is no way this team is equipped to put up a battle against a very tálented experienced Bucknell team. I fully expect them to run the table now that they are fully healthy again. Didn't get to see game did we defend the three well or did Bucknell miss open looks?

Only saw the second half but it seemed the problem was more our total lack of offense than defense. Not like Bucknell scored 90 points.
Time to trot out the “we don’t shoot it that well.” What really continues to kill us is passing up open shots and trying to force passes into the middle when the passing lanes are clogged.
On a positive note, we only lost by 21 as we closed the gap against the Bison 3rd stringers. 😊

It seems like we missed an inordinate number of chippies, bunnies, lay-ups, etc. We got off a lot of shots from 2-3 feet in, but most of the time we looked off balance and/or not squared up. All in all, a major mismatch.

Their starters were 14-20 on 2FGs (70%). Our starters were 14-32 on 2FGs (43.8%)

We didn't and haven't for most of the season. the 1st half vs. AWP was an anomaly - looking at the other 3 1/2 games we have played, our fg shooting ranges from 32 pct to 37 pct. Add our downright poor ft shooting and you have a formula for one-sided losses going forward.
I would add a shooting psychologist to the needs of this team in addition to a dedicated weight program. next year will be no better unless those shooting %'s go up by 5-8 pct as we're not going to be a good rebounding team with this roster and our coaching - playing styles.

Ordering - 30 posts about how the Patriot League is holding Holy Cross back, over easy!! At one time maybe....biggest problem today is the overall indifference with Holy Cross basketball from most alums, Greater Woo region etc....in many ways, worse than anger/frustration. Had a built-in excuse today (practice)...but i doubt I would have bothered watching if I had the time to do so today.

Bucknell is on a different planet and I do not understand why the Bison and Crusaders stay in a league that draws terrible recruits. Even if the Crusaders were Bucknell. I would rather see them struggle and play good teams in a better conference than be great in the Patriot League.

As an institution, we want to stay connected to the PL but in doing so, it has severely hampered the two marquee sports of men's basketball and football. It is absurd that the current men's basketball staff (though good for them and this is not a "knock on them"...just pointing out the absurdity of it all) is paid roughly half a million dollars a year to coach in a league that draws about the same as some high school programs in Massachusetts most nights.

That is crazy and true. The staff is payed way to much for the amount of fans they get. It is a shame that people are so tied into the PL they think it is the ACC. It is about 10 schools that mostly just have basketball. The winner of the league does absolutely nothing on the national stage. March Madness, NIT, FCS Playoffs. The teams get knocked out in the first round.
