A small contingent competed in the Beantown Challenge last weekend. One very bright spot is freshman Michael Pichay who jumped 21'11" to finish third in the long jump and 46'10" to finish fourth in the triple jump. From available online result aggregators, those would both appear to be personal bests and put him on the cusp of scoring in both events in the PL championships based upon last year's results. He was the 2017 Massachusetts All State champ in the triple jump outdoors. Looks like a good one.

Triple (IMHO) is particularly impressive...stacks up quite well in the HC record book: www.goholycross.com/fls/33100/sports/track%20and%20field/History/2016-2017/All-Time%20Records.pdf?DB_OEM_ID=33100Appears to be a new HC record - if the link is accurate.

Current triple jump record holder is Thomas Harrison whom many will remember as a fine wide receiver for HC in mid 2000's. Pichay's bio says his father Christopher played basketball for HC--name not familiar to me
