"To be clear. The seriousness of the allegations is unknown. To be clear. Any allegations would have to be proven."
They're not exactly reaping the benefits of any cheating they may have done, that's pretty clear. Amazing that they won it 4 years ago, they are falling off the map.
Worst thing they ever did to basketball was upgrade football. It's killed them.

I always thought that kids went to play for Calhoun even though he had to be a hard guy to like because they figured he could get them to the NBA. I figured Ollie, who was the ultimate NBA survivor (11 teams in 14 year) would be able to attract talented hard working kids who could be transformed into stars. When he won the 2014 national championship, I assumed he would be successful forever. It really has not worked out that way.

For better or worse, we talk a lot about coaches success/failure in early seasons being a function of the predecessor. Ollie won in his second year. Sometimes big colleges go down hill after losing a stud coach. Look at St John's after Carnesecca's retirement. Same as Georgetown after John Thompson's retirement. I expected UConn to go the same way after Calhoun and was surprised he won it all in his second year, but maybe UConn is just following a familiar track

What is killing UConn is their conference. It is not attractive to the recruits in the areas they previously got kids from —NY metro area, BWVa, etc
