Gametracker just corrected to 73-62. Grandison and Floyd were 14 of 26, and that includes Grandison's 0-5 on three pointers. When off from 3 point range, Grandison seems to be able to keep his poise.

This is incredible. Maybe use those timeouts, Coach Carm. I assume you're talking about the same "attempted front court after turnover" that I am which they subsequently turned back over. Carm did call time out but refs didn't grant it. He then got everyone's attention to make sure they knew there were 2 time outs remaining. But you knew that. Before that. We had 3 timeouts and were throwing the ball all over the place. There were several opportunities to call timeouts and settle the game back down.

No one seems be calling for hcbc’s head today. Did I miss some posts? Is getting to 9-16 on the year supposed to be some sort of vindication of Carmody, indicating that he should keep his job despite an overall winning percentage well below .500 and two consecutive years with investigations on his players?

No, pulling this young team together and having them play a strong game without KC and now Copeland was well done. He has a contract and some were calling for his immediate firing after that last terrible game. Certainly that was over the top and if anyone had been foolish enough to do that, I doubt we would have seen the team's effort bring us that win today. If the coach was involved in player misconduct (and we do not know yet what happened) then take steps against him. If not, and until more is known, perhaps it is time to drop this. And, since you asked, yes, getting to 9-16 with so many frosh and without a key piece in team play is a vindication of our veteran coach, IMHO. I saw improvement today, Niego return to contribute and, even with some frosh mistakes, a solid team effort.

I think it’s fair to say that this team is starting to put it all together. Throw Wednesday’s game away; the kids lost a captain and leader of the squad. They played feeling sorry for themselves and got it handed to them. CBC has been coaching a long time and knew how to get the kids back! They came to play today and are building momentum. Get a win Wednesday, and they will have an advantage over both Loyola and Army in the event of a tie going into the playoffs, and hopefully they can get a sixth seed or better. Then it could get interesting!!

Game was over, mistakes made due to a desire to push it over the finish line and of course inexperience. Naturally created anxious moments for all of us watching, but if each of us were coaching this team you would be incredibly proud how they pulled together as a TEAM. This past Wednesday was hard to watch or even think about, but understandable for teenagers trying to sort it out.
I know some will disagree, or perhaps many, but I think this was a watershed moment for the team and the program and we should all value how the players and team dug deep to respond-btw that was as animated and engaged as I have seen the staff in a few years.

Was very happy to see this score after getting home from coaching. Good win for the kids and the staff after a tough week.

Proud of the guys today; great job! Pat really sharp, and they got a big boost from CN. And what did I tell you about AB! Loved how he didn't back down from Hankerson, and induced the technical.
We made a new friend in our section, a gentleman who wasn't impressed with our support of the Saders. All in all, a great day!

No one seems be calling for hcbc’s head today. Did I miss some posts? Because one game makes a career at a school. Carmody has not done a good job at HC. Fact.

AB wouldn’t back down from Hankerson and his three toughest friends Approximately when in the game did this occur? I need to find this on the replay.

The negativity expressed by some is mind numbing, clearly their right, but still amazing. Opinions are great, especially when they offer a different perspective and challenge the voice of others. That said I am assuming that those that are so harsh have more playing or coaching experience-either college or coached players that eventually enjoyed a college or professional career? Otherwise very difficult to understand how everything is always horrible.

Otherwise very difficult to understand how everything is always horrible. Look at Carmody’s record at HC. That should tell you why those without the purplest tints on their glasses aren’t pleased with where the program is simply because we have beat a few awful teams lately. Some aren’t satisfied with a .420-.430 winning percentage, some are. It’s a simple line in the sand.
