Watching yesterday's game, 2 things came to mind regarding these guys: 1) they have a lot of potential and 2) we need to build an apartment within the new weight room for these guys to live in this summer. They really seem to compliment each other, and have versatility. JG may be a bit more athletic, but CN seems to have a nice feel for the game - always around the action. Looking forward to seeing more of them together on the floor. I won't start an uproar with a Potter-Vicens comparison, but - if they could end up having the careers of Rick Mashburn and Frank Powell they would be doing just fine.

Butler would have to live with them to serve as the drill sergeant/motivator. And to get them up at the crack of dawn to start throwing some weight around.

CN still may have some minutes limitations with Pat playing a lot with CG, as well as AB at the 3, and Grandy at the 4.

Agree and see CN and JG with significant upside in this system. I also think if MF can relax and be more disciplined defensively he will be a very strong junior/Senior for this team. He has a nice touch from the perimeter and can block shots so if over the next two years he puts on 35 pounds (without impacting his shot) he could be one of the options to step in for JF. AB will continue to add a toughness but unless he grows to 6’7” or so the team has a physically and mentally tough swing player that can score. If he grows he could be even more important to this team.
Strength coach could be the most important member of the team over the next 3 years!

His numbers do not show it yet, but I think CN is going to be a good shooter--his form looks pretty good to me and I think he's a smart player. I also like the way he goes after the ball on rebounds, but of course that does not fit into the current strategy.
JG has shown improvement all year long and I think he has a nice set of skills. After shooting .500 on his twos OOC he's hitting them at .652 in PL play. Yes, I understand that the opponents are different, but .652 is very impressive. He's also fouling less, drawing more fouls, dishing more assists, and rebounding better in conference play. He'll need to improve his three point shooting and we know that most sophs take a nice step forward in that regard.

I'm much more bearish on Matt, since he appears to be a poor fit for the defensive approach being employed. He's just not very mobile now - add 35 pounds and he'll be less so. That's too bad, because offensively, he's a really good fit for the P.O.

Whatever we run . . ., a tall guy who can rebound; block shots; score short, medium, and deep; make free throws; and pass effectively (especially from the foul line extended) is nice to have going forward - if his defensive liabilities can be minimized.

Just give him some time. He will mature.

PL history is littered with big guys who struggled in various facets of the game as Frosh and went on to become really good players thereafter. I would give Faw some time. He already does several things pretty well.

BU 6'10/240 frosh was on the floor for just 4 minutes yesterday

Agree on your comment re foot speed but watching him i am not sure how much of his defensive issues are foot speed or a lack of discipline that puts him in difficult situations and his reaction is to try and make a play and he is out of position. In addition, it looks like he is still growing into his body.
Like most bigs they develop over time. His frame looks like he can naturally fill out at 225-235 with some just being natural weight gain and complemented by strength training and muscle. He looks like he is around 200 right now
He can run, jump, pass and shoot so patience with him has terrific upside if he improves defensively -imho some of that is likely to come as his body matures.
