Cant remember the last time anyone asked where I went to college. I’m guessing anyone you talk to regularly doesn’t need to ask.

Does anyone here, in casual conversation etc, say when asked where they went to college "College of the Holy Cross"? I work with a guy who is about 70 years old and from NY who always refers to it as The College of the Holy Cross. Not sure why but he makes a point of it.

When filling out team previews for the sports I coached, I was always asked on the form what undergraduate school I had attended and I always filled in The College of the Holy Cross. The reporters on the Record thought that was unique. When, after several seasons, I started putting just Holy Cross - they added the words "The College of..." before putting it in the paper.
