How about the DeMatha (MD) team that beat Alcindor and Power Memorial?

That 1965 DeMatha team was terrific, but that loss was Lewie’s only loss in his last 3 years in HS. That loss broke Power’s 71 game win streak, including beating DeMatha the year before. DeMatha lost more games during that time than Power, 116-1 those 3 years, under HC’s Jack Donohue, including to today being the only school to ever win 3 straight NYC CHSAA championships. The undefeated ‘63-‘64 team was voted the No.1 HS team of the century by USA Today.

A terrific team-from ‘81-83 went 59-0 had 11 D1 Players, inc those 4 who went to the NBA they can vie for second best with 65 DeMatha
