Need some good publicity these days, considering we're once again America's example of political correctness run amok, and college admin caving to the pressure of 3-4 dozen radicals.

I would argue that the fact that HC is “hidden” isn’t a great indicator...that said, nice article

So true -- not sure our marketing department should be patting itself on the back

A great point. Is it really good publicity if the only place this is publicized is on HC’s own website? I have seen a lot more actual “publicity” surrounding the embarrassing mascot situation.

It's an internet business aimed at the college-bound market
From their home page:
Confidence in your college investment. Edmit gives you clear and personalized information about college price and value. Compare your options and request more aid

Some of the lists/articles HC posts are a mixed bag. Especially after a little thought ("Hidden"? Edmit?, Manhattan College was the previous 'hidden gem"? Before that was Fairfield?)
Had the same mixed reaction concerning the HC post trumpeting one highlight from the recent WSJ rankings ("#4 Catholic College") . The published link ultimately revealed WSJ ranked us tied with Drexel and Denison at 84th and one notch below #83 WPI overall.

The operative word here is HIDDEN.
Hidden?
Whose fault is that?
If the College was a company with a fabulous “hidden” product the entire Board would be fired.
Congratulating itself for a great “hidden” product?
HA

If you take a step back (admittedly hard to do sometimes), there is a very compelling product to sell. It hasn’t been properly harnessed, represented and marketed. That is leadership and execution...plain and simple.

I would argue it was a more compelling product under the previous adminstration.
