After viewing the clip that Breezy linked to about Tom Ciaccio, this video immediately followed. If this has been shown before, sorry for missing it. This was produced in 1995 and runs for 40 minutes. Hosted by Bob Fouracre, it presents some incredible footage and interviews. The quality of the replays is very high. Crusaders across every era and especially from days of old when knights were bold will certainly enjoy it. Hard to believe that on the Youtube page it indicates that it only has 7 views. Enjoy!!

Now up to 66 views.
It was published on March 29 by Channel 3. (The video is older than any player on the current roster. Tempus fugit.)

Very nice. I watched the whole thing. I seem to recall that I saw it before, but I can't be sure.
This morning I found this tweet:

This was available on VHS in the mid 90s, when I first saw it.

Even if you do not watch the entire 40 minute clip, do yourself the favor and go to the 29 minute mark and watch/listen to Worcester Telegram sports reporter Nick Manzello talk about Gordie Lockbaum.

Never saw it before. Great find. Never saw any film from that 1969 tragic season. Who was the quarterback?
And John Provost's punt return in 1974 looked like it came from 1924. I assure you that video tape in 1974 was a hell of a lot better than that.

Went to the '69 Harvard football game and wondered why our reportedly fast team looked so sluggish. Harvard Stadium a lot closer than Hanover, NH so did not go to that game but listened to the game on the radio and heard about our players dropping on the field. Knew something wasn't right. Read this from the Holy Cross Magazine about the lost season: www.holycross.edu/departments/publicaffairs/hcm/fall04/features/feature1.html

timholycross. Haven’t looked at the You Tube clip yet but I’m going to guess it was Mark Mowatt from U-D Jesuit HS in Detroit. If his # was 12, I’ll feel more confident in the answer. I think that Harvard/HC game to start the ‘69 season may have been on regional TV.

Great video. It's great to see a little footage of the single greatest performance in HC athletic history, John Provost's game versus Brown.

So even though the team was 7-0 and ranked #2, we only had a little north of 12k attendance at Fitton? Played 96 players?
Some things have not changed while some things have.

Mowatt sounds right. Looks like 12 or 17 ...hard to tell with the grainy picture and my 15 inch laptop.
Not sure who else was a qb in 1969...seems like all the rest of them during my stay there were my class (73, and therefore not eligible in 69) or younger, like Pete Vaas.

Columbia* in 1983 was horrible. Probably had a lot to do with it. Remember the playoff crowd was weaker than people thought it would be. December day with light snow the night before, although the game conditions themselves were pretty good for that time of year, IIRC. *in fact, the greatest fear of the PL haters were that the league would have programs equal to Columbia's.

Nice to have seen the Lions being fed to the Christians ( I know I stole that one). Good memory on PL fears and Columbia program.

1983 Columbia -- I was at the game -- Columbia's defense may have been extremely weak, but the QB (I think his name was Witkowski) was quite capable, and the Lions did score 28 points.

Our QB in 1969 was Howie Burke who went 19 for 40 as a passer for 200 yards and 1 TD. He played 2 games that year, his only 2 games for his career. I don't recall hearing the name before. I wonder what class he was in and whether he transferred out? Mark Mowatt was 3 for 5 passing for 1969.
