Can someone explain to me how school with a bunch of "one and dones" like, say Duke, can recruit 5 HS all Americans for next year when they don't have 5 scholarship seniors on the current roster?
What would they do if by some amazing set of circumstances none of the current freshmen declared for the draft?
Since they cannot go over 13 total scholarships, would they have to revoke the offers to the incoming freshmen?

Duke could take scholarships away from the poorest performers on the team?

1st—i believe they have recruited 4 hs all Americans 2- they lose 1 senior, Allen, and at least 2 freshmen already declared for the nba, with the probability of at least one more 3- i think they may not have had the full 13 this season

They couldn't revoke the offers to three of the four incoming freshmen, since they have already signed letters of intent - which guarantees them a scholarship for next year. In theory they could still revoke the offer to Williamson since he has not signed yet. As KY Crusader points out, in the extremely unlikely event that none of the Duke underclassmen decided to leave, then Duke would have to non-renew enough current scholarships to create spots. Normally scholarships are only one year deals.
