Did anyone see it? Thoughts?
Maybe Pacino sounded too much like Lefty from Donnie Brasco at times; but given that Paterno was from Brooklyn, that was understandable; but overall a good performance.
The best scenes were with Paterno's wife; one where she was reading a detailed report of Sandusky's terrible acts; the other being a conversation with Joe about how their kids went in a swimming pool with Sandusky when they were young.

I saw it last night. Not bad, but it was confusing at times. I thought Pacino made Paterno look confused or distracted. Found out that the actress playing the reporter is Elvis Presley's granddaughter. Also enjoyed seeing Annie Parisse again. I thought the guy who played Paterno's son did a good job.

I thought Pacino made Paterno look confused or distracted. Yes, I thought the same thing. I thought long before any of this happened that he should have stepped down....just too much of a physical and mental drain for someone his age to keep doing it. Plus, he was seriously ill on top of that.

I watched it last night with my dog. I thought it was pretty average. I did not learn anything new other than that the reporter was a kid just out of Penn State. I think that Pacino did a good job because I think that Paterno was pretty confused by the end. He was already dying at that point and I suspect he knew it.
I can't help but compare this to Spotlight which I thought was really well done.

My basset hound slept though it soundly; then again, he sleeps soundly through just about anything.

She’s a rescue Great Pyrenees from Tennessee. As an SEC fan, she didn’t understand why anyone wanted to know about Big 10 football
