He will most likely not make it, but Glenn Grieco was as dominating a middle guard as there could be. My favorite memory of him was being so quick off the snap that he would actually take the ball from the QB before the QB had a chance to hand off to the running back. He did it a few times in his junior year To be taken into consideration now that only one vote is possible are the era and opponents that the nominees faced. We played some very strong teams from ‘65-67. Glenn was dominant in our 32-26 win over BC in ‘66.

Aside from discontinuing having two sets of candidates ('old-timers' and more recent players) I do not remember this explicit statement previously.
"Fan voting will account for a small percentage of the final tally."
Of the 25 inductees, 4 graduated after 1987.

Glenn was truly outstanding. At one game I worked as a spotter for a visiting team's radio broadcasters. I kept pointing out them that he was a middle guard, but they called him a linebacker, and even a defensive tackle. They had trouble believing what they were seeing - his ability to seemingly be "everywhere" on the field. He was a standout in every game he played. He got my vote.

There are lots of great players on this ballot. I voted for Bill McGovern. He was an unbelievably dominant player and a winner.

I remember Glenn Grieco when I was in jr high watching HC play a pretty good schedule. He was a tremendous nose guard. He had some pretty good defensive teammates in Dick Kryziak, Dick Giardi, Bob Kurcz and I believe two locals from Saint John's High, Paul Scopetski and Pat Bourque. I know I am probably forgetting someone from what was a very good defensive unit. Another defensive linemen who was very similar to Grieco and deserves very strong consideration for the Ring of Honor was Lou Kobza. Lou was as a blind as a bat without his glasses and quick as a cat. In my humble opinion, Both Grieco and Kobza deserve to be in the ROH. Not sure which one I would vote for first.
Having said that, I voted for another defensive lineman who I never saw play but from what I have heard about him, is very deserving of the honor. He was a 2 time All American, 3 time All New Englander and played almost the East-West Game as a senior. He was also quite a gentlemen. That person is Hank Lemire.

Didn't know he played football. I remember many two sport athletes from the 60's: Wendelken, Knittel, Bourque, O'Neil. You mentioned Kelly and I'll bet there were more than a few gridders who were members of the track team as well. It was a different era.
