Ooh-Ooh! (channeling, Gunther Toody), my "ranking" is now "freshman" and no longer a "newbie!" For the youngins: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_E._RossP.S. It is obvious by the poll results that so far, no Fordham alums have followed onto the new Crossports yet.

Haven't seen one yet but would bet there will be. Have you seen this link yet about the weekend extravaganza? Would be silly not to have a hotel package: ram-crusadercup.com/events/calendar/

Holy Cross Magazine ran an ad that says "Last Chance to Buy Tickets for the Ram-Crusader Cup" is April 29. I can' t imagine that they will sell out the game since its at Yankee Stadium. Won't tickets be available at the door? Or at least a month or two before the game? I expect that I will go but I have no idea how many tickets to buy since my family's schedule is not known yet.

Well let's get this new board off on the right contentious foot. Rams defend the Bronx and repel the invading Crusaders from the House that Jeter built!

Engage in false prophecies if you will, but Please don't put Jeter in a Ruthian phrase

Fordham football and baseball own NYC and The Bronx is their home turf. They have a long and storied history there. It won't be easy for HC's invading hordes from the north.

That was once true, but I am not sure that is the case any longer. Fordham does, however, boast a number of grads in sports broadcasting in NYC. If they use that connection, it could mean pumping up interest in the game in NYC.

Spoke with someone in the Fordham AA today He said that the Yankees have demanded that each school sell 7500 premium seats before the rest of the seats go on sale Will both schools accomplish it ? he did not say if there would be a consequence if it did not happen. my guess is that each school will have to pay the equivalent amount whether or not they sell the tiks.

How can 30% of the stadium be premium seats?? I inquired about a luxury box last winter as, in addition to the 5 HC grads in the family, I have 4 Fordham alums among my siblings and their spouses and thought it would be a fun way to see the game and the only way to get my dad to the game as I could not see him sitting in the stadium for 3 hours on a late November afternoon. Was told by HC ticketing that the Yankees have not decided if they would be opening the luxury boxes or not, but they'd put my name on the list to be notified if and when the decision to open was made. Still haven't heard anything, but would assume they would count as "Premium Seats" but they are tough to sell if they are "not available!"

The stadium holds 54,000+ for baseball Premium is what they can charge big bucks for

OK, so 27.8% of the stadium capacity is premium seating? Still not sure how you start with an expectation that more than a quarter of the football seats be sold as premium in a venue designed for baseball hosting an FCS football game - especially if the luxury boxes are not available.
