hchoops Thanks for posting the article. As the article indicated, Jave and Ron Artest (now known as Metta World Peace) were good friends. RA/MWP was in attendance in Indy when HC played Marquette in the first round of the NCAA tournament in 2003 and they spoke to each other after the game in the HC section of the stands.

Artest sat with Jave’s parents in the HC section for the second half and cheered on Jave and HC

Artest sat with Jave’s parents in the HC section for the second half and cheered on Jave and HC artest was even wearing a purple jersey. aside from the sting of yet another close ncaa tournament loss, that was a great day in indianaoplis with a bunch of fellow crossports posters.

Remember it well; that was the day dado almost dislocated my shoulder with a high five. Man.....when Jerz hit that 3 in the latter stages of the second half, I thought we were going to pull it out! Jave was superb that game (what, 10 points, 11 assists, 0 turnovers?).

Nafe Lufkin's foot stepping out of bounds as he made 2 baskets that were waved off as a result.

Nafe Lufkin's foot stepping out of bounds as he made 2 baskets that were waved off as a result. A huge factor in the result

The two key factors were Pat Wheartys foul trouble and our poor 2nd half free throw shooting. The former was a factor to the product of the latter.
That, and Diener.

Travis F. Diener and Jean F. Proleau.........by coincidence they have the same middle name.

Diener’s F is more appropriate since he stopped us from going to the round of 32 where we would have beaten Missouri to go to the Sweet 16 to face Pitt.
