Good to see the crutches are gone And the boot!!! I heard he busted the crutches over his knee, Bo Jackson style, then pitched the boot all the way down College Street. He wanted to be ready for workouts.

Can anyone name the other two scholarship players in the class of '78 besides Potter and Vicens? There were actually three, but only two stuck around and graduated. The three were Robert Landes, Adrian Moody and Jose Martinez. Landes played at Mamaroneck HS, Moody at Roman Catholic in Philly, and Martinez someplace in NYC. Sorry, that's the best I can do.

I remember Moody playing some but thought he was a later class. I got Martinez right--I remember seeing him with the team, maybe in a Purple vs White game--but he never played. As I recall he was not tall but the word was that he was very quick. I wonder what happened to him??

Outstanding Ignutz. Better than me as I forgot Moody.

Random observations amid all this talk about great freshmen classes. . . the school seems to be on the bandwagon promoting the guys from 2021 as a special class. The first two guys in the summer spotlight are rising sophomores (granted it looks like this class is more than 50 percent of the returning players). Then the photo of Faw watching his classmates work out . Might be a coincidence, but the early summer "stay excited" posts have been rather 2021-centric ---------------------------------------------------------- On a semi related note, there has been some speculation on other threads (not a lot, but some) that at least one member of the class of 2021 would be transferring out. Based on the workout photo, all six guys are on campus for summer workouts and/or summer school. I think it extremely unlikely that anyone transferring out would participate in team workouts or be featured in an athletic department posting.

A couple of thoughts. Very few people transfer out of HC, particularly if you have been granted a free ride. Secondly, with frosh being the great unknown and Perkins being a medical question mark, plus an almost empty jr class, the class of 2021 makes up most of the returning team.

Hope you did not mean to imply that Faw was just watching his teammates work out and not working out himself, because he obviously has a weight in his left hand! !

Getting ready for the new season: "curls are for the girls", but i realize power cleans don't make for great group photo opps and that the guys are on a real strength program under jeff oliver and co. real strength originates from the legs, and by looking at the pic most of our guys (not named austin butler) still have some work to do. although it looks to me like niego has put on some mass in the right areas and caleb has some serious pipes. his vascularity is extraordinary for a basketball point guard. while he impressed as a freshman playing so many minutes, i expect a really big year out of him next year. his floor general and leadership instincts were obvious and with a full year of experience playing with our core (and three more to go!) i can see him competing for second team all-PL accolades as a sophomore.

I thought the same thing. He's listed at 198 lbs on the roster-let's see if he goes to 210 or so when we see the 18-19 roster

I was totally going there as a cheap unsolicited shot. I hope the players don't read the board and I don't know Matt personally so I figure I'm safe. Even with the one dumbbell, he does kind of look like a spectator
