So, KY, what do you think ? (raining in much of the east) will it be another Triple Crown slosh ? If it is muddy, Does this favor Justify ?

Justify looks like he will be very hard to beat today. He had no problem with the sloppy track at Churchill Downs so the track conditions shouldn’t bother him. He will go to the lead or track it but the pace should be much kinder than in the Derby so he’ll have an easier time cruising the first mile. The exacta with Good Magic May pay $5.00 for $2.00. I won’t bother with Trifecta or Super—no value to be found. We’ll play the pick five and pick four making Justify a single A and Good Magic a single B in both but with limited $$$ trying to beat Justify.

Just over 4 hours until the Belmont. Where is KY with the insider info to make me look like a genius in front of my kids? If KY doesn’t tell me who is going to win, I’m picking Bravazo.

I’ll go out on a limb and take Justify

I don’t know anything about horse racing but I felt like Justify would have lost the Preakness had it been a little longer. Because this race is longer, I predict he will fade down the stretch and lose by several lengths.

I know that there were three Triple Crown winners in the 70s but it seems like it would be better if it was rare. I’m going to cheer for Hofburg.

Sorry I did not weigh in on this one prior to the race. The race went as I expected with Justify making the front--when he did not get too strong of a challenge for the lead the race was over as he was able to cruise around the track in reasonable fractions leaving enough gas in the tank for the stretch drive. He was my top choice along with Vino Rosso and I used Hofburg, Restoring Hope and Bravazzo underneath. I did not have Gronkowski at all so I did not cash Tri or Super. Justify is a great runner--it would be wonderful to see him run as a 4YO and 5YO but I'm sure we'll hear that he'll head to the breeding shed after a few more races.
