It's a MAAC tradition to periodically move the tournament to somewhere other than Albany to eliminate Siena's homecourt advantage. But after a couple of years of dismal attendance, it always moves back to Albany. In a few years, it will no doubt be back in Albany.
Over the past 20 years, it has spent some time in each of Buffalo, Bridgeport, Springfield, and Trenton. And of course back in the 80's, they used the Meadowlands.

With legal sports betting, I think they do OK attendance-wise.
Definitely a better location than Springfield or Bridgeport. Have they done Buffalo recently as well?

Probably a good move as Siena won't be very good for a while...of course this year no one that close to AC was very good either.

It hasn't been in Buffalo since 2005. I seriously doubt it would draw much better now, though there would probably be a slight uptick as college basketball had its best year in WNY in decades, though mainly through it's two non-MAAC member teams. Nonetheless, Canisius and especially Niagara had better than expected seasons.
