Lt Gen Trainor '51 was one of 17 Marines commissioned at graduation that year. He is the second HC NROTC alum to attain the rank of general/flag officer. He was an active supporter of the O'Callahan Society. He was our first dinner speaker 17 years ago... 2 months after 9/11.

Terrific obit - especially the last few paragraphs when he speaks of his reaction to the 1987 movie 'Platoon'. Quite a life he lived.
