I'd like to see the team take another summer trip to Europe. Don't believe this has been done since 2006. Why not? I would gladly donate some money to the program for this to happen. I think it's both an invaluable educational and growth experience for the kids, along with being able to play with each other against other teams for a couple of weeks.

(Northern) Ireland doesn't count? Or are you hanging on the "summer" part of your statement?

Does the NCAA have a rule on how often you can travel to Europe?

Does the NCAA have a rule on how often you can travel to Europe? I don't believe so. If anyone wanted to they could play a game or two outside the U,S. every year...as a regular season game. "Summer" games abroad are just that because they take place before the regular season. That is why the Belfast tournament does. ot count against any future summer trips. Sumer trips can be taken no closer than every 4 years.

Does the NCAA have a rule on how often you can travel to Europe? Yes. It's something like every 4 years. I do not know if regular season games against American colleges count toward this. I think not Coach Willard was a fan of these summer trips and went as often as possible. Around 2003 they went to Ireland and then in 2007 kicked around the Netherlands and Spain

Tom is right. Once every four years.

(Northern) Ireland doesn't count? Or are you hanging on the "summer" part of your statement? Doesn't count. Two different kinds of trips in the eyes of the NCAA.
