I always look forward to this - not because of the content, but because it's the countdown to a new season! The first HC opponent has checked in at #119......and it's Lehigh, chosen as #1 in the PL.

Early-bird prediction: someone other than Lehigh wins the PL this year.
Impressed by the 119 ranking: ahead of some solid programs like UNLV, UNI, Iowa State and VCU.

Early bird prediction: Holy Cross wins PL championship. Austin Butler, POY. (taking a cue from Jeanne Dixon, if you make enough wild & crazy predictions, one of them might come true and then you look clairvoyant).

Too bad.
They would have been higher without the coaching change.

When I coached, I always tried to schedule a real toughie, unwinnable, early..It gave the players a chance to see what really good teams are like, something to emulate...and it is a good way to evaluate players, see who can step up their game vs a tough opponent....Yes it is more than likely a loss at Michigan, but if we can compete, it can be a springboard to the season!

Fordham picked to finish 14th in the Atlantic 14. Feel badly for my family and friends who once cared about Fordham hoops. It’s been a brutal run since the Jean Bleeping Prioleau glory days. If it makes anyone feel better, he went 4-26 in his first year as head coach at San Jose State last year.

They lost star Eric Paschall(Nova) when they fired Pecora, who has just recruited a terrific backcourt for Qpac and Dunleavy. a very bad move by Fordham.
