To the friends, faithful, and fellow Crusaders frequenting these parts, I welcome sharing with you a recent communication and report sent to Coach Chesney and staff.
LET'S WIN!!
Dear Coach Chesney,
Seems like yesterday when you were being introduced by AD Nate Pine as the next head football coach at Holy Cross and now you, the staff, and the team are a mere few weeks away from opening camp for the 2018 campaign. I know we speak for Crusaders everywhere in wishing you all the absolute best for the upcoming season. That said, we also have your back for the long haul as we collectively work to establish and then elevate a culture of excellence for Holy Cross Football.
In that spirit, I welcome sharing with you and your staff a recently generated 90-Wide Mentoring Impact Report highlighted below in the hopes that the personal stories of some selected Crusaders who have benefited from the 90W since inception back in 2009 may serve to help attract future Purple star student-athletes to our special college on the hill. I am proud to call these men fellow Crusaders and thank them all for now taking on the mantel of mentors as well. Iron truly sharpens iron. (Proverbs 27:17)
I want to take this opportunity to personally thank the 16 Crusaders who gave their testimony that allowed us to generate this report. This report is truly one small chapter in what could be a lengthy book filled with other similarly spectacular stories. I want to thank the mentors highlighted in this report who have made such a meaningful impact on the personal and professional lives of these Crusaders. I would be remiss in not thanking all 135 90-Wide mentors who have given so much of their time and talent over the life of this special program. I know there is much excitement for the newly revised 90W 2.0 Team Mentoring format and applaud those Crusaders who have already displayed real leadership in advancing their teams. Special shout out to Mark Cannon '77 and Kevin Golden '09 for their tremendous efforts and inspiration in leading 90W-Chicago.
The 90-Wide is simply a reflection of the best college football family and college alumni community in America. The pride displayed in the Impact Report screams out as to just how great it is to be a Crusader as we look to bring honor in true Jesuit fashion to Alma Mater. Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam.
We have total confidence that the future of Holy Cross Football under your leadership and with the vision and support of AD Nate Pine is very bright. We welcome working in concert with all our fellow Crusaders on and off campus in making that bright future a reality. We fully acknowledge that the journey ahead requires much work. Truth be told, though, this work is a labor of love for Crusaders everywhere who truly bleed Purple. Anybody and everybody who reads the attached report will see voluminous evidence of that.
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Let's Win!!

P.S. I am blind copying all those on the 90W distribution as well as all those in the Gridiron Club, the Holy Cross Football Alumni et al. I hope those who read the Impact Report will want to share it with friends, family, coaches and others so that they too can gain a deeper appreciation for what makes the 90-Wide, Holy Cross Football, and Alma Mater so special.
