As soon as the NCAA cuts the number of days teams can recruit, the smaller schools lose out. HC will see fewer players, and have a smaller pool to recruit from..the Big Guys don't have as big a pool as the little guys.. There are a lot more little guys looking than bigs....Such is the life of the mid majors and below

I'd guess all of the rule changes are made in light of how they will benefit/hurt the "big time" schools

Do not agree that the quality of mid major hoops is very low. It is not as star driven as the high majors, but the overall team play may be superior to the high majors. and a number of mid majors continue to wn some games in the NCAA tourney.each season.
