Does Nate Pine actually authorize our coach to be paid ? This program gets more pathetic every year. This year's roster includes 'zero' freshmen and they need to publicize 'walk-on' tryouts to fill out the roster. Can anyone join me in saying this is a total embarrassment of a D.1 program ? www.goholycross.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=33100&ATCLID=211768902

No, I can't. While I don't practice it as much as I should, my mother taught me if I don't have anything good to say, don't say anything.

Can we finally start calling the a "club?" Then the "have fun while participating" could make more sense...who cares if we win.

One interesting thing is that if tennis were made a club sport, it would actually cost HC more money. As things stand now, the NCAA pays HC about $38,000 a year for the men's team and another $38,000 a year for the women. Those amounts are very close to what HC spent on the two teams last year.

I am aware of the finances. On what line to they tally in humiliation?
I would love to hear from the tennis coach. Has he ever issued a statement of what he needs to improve either team (or both programs)? Or, how about a statement from the team's players as to how they feel about this situation?

Ideally would like one more body for the team in case of multiple injuries, but you can definitely get by with 7. Gives you some flexibility.
