Still wrapping my head around how it's been almost 32 years since we last played the Eagles on the gridiron. The Cold War was still on, the Sox had just lost a killer WS to the Mets, hardly anyone had either a cell-phone or a home computah. Weird to think that in 1986, 32 years before that would have been 1954...wasn't everything in black&white then? I was still on the Hill and actually did the play by play of the last BC game on WCHC. Where were you? Section 2 - nose bleed seats Since the place was so packed and parking a premium, we pre-gamed at a buddy's off campus apartment at the corner of Southbridge and Malvern Added note to HC87 - The apartment was rented by 3 members of the class of 1987

Was at the game. Had a caravan of eight cars, 36 total people, who drove up from the Naugatuck Valley in CT. We tailgated in the HoJos parking lot before and after the game. Had a blast, and everyone would gladly do it again. Unfortunately, the program went in another direction. You think any of those 36 would come on up for a game against Lehigh?? I could promise them a free steak dinner at the One11 and not get any takers. It’s a shame. If the offer is open to people outside the Naugatuck Valley, you've got one taker right here. Now eagerly looking forward to Oct 27.

I was at the game with a big group of friends including my then fiance (now wife). We were 10-0 going into the game and we already enjoyed the exciting win at Army the prior month. My wife is a BC grad '82 (and mother of two HC daughters '12 and '15) and I remember teasing her when we went up 14-0, thinking we might blow them out of the stadium. Then everything just fell apart. She is hoping for a repeat performance on Saturday.

AIR, the BC game was nearly always over the long Thanksgiving holiday. As such, I was home and left to follow the all to infrequent score updates on TV and radio. I think my first HC-BC game may not have been till1976

I was at the 1986 game and at Flutie's last game at Fitton Field with the helicopter ready to take him to New York for the Heisman ceremony.
At the 1986 game I remember Holy Cross fans yelling up at Father Brooks, in his box above the stands, when things turned bad. Blaming him for the fall of Holy Cross football. Turned out to be a sad day. Yes, recall that being rather ugly. It also occurred at Homecoming that year.
There was also a game or two when a small plane circled above Fitton hauling a banner that read DITCH THE COLONIAL LEAGUE....

First hc/bc game I went to was in 1967, a 13-6 BC win...HC dominated the first half but missed a PAT kick and two chip shot field goals. I didn't see hc win in 1977...after the 59-6 debacle in 1976 saw no possibility of the game being competitive. Was delighted to be incorrect and saw the remaining games of the series. The final game had no business being played at Fitton, not that HC would have won at foxboro or BC...however IMHO it would have been a better ballgame. The smaller HC guys literally got run over repeatedly in that muck
