Think about including HC in your will. It could get you included in an HC ad and you get a free photo shoot as a bonus. (My wife is the "star" but I get in there by being the one she agreed to marry over 50 years ago. )

That's you! and the wife? Sorry to say that I routinely throw those away. My money is going to my kids and/or grandkids. HC has gotten enough from me over the many years to leave them more after I die.
But . . . . . I am very impressed, Rob. Good for you and the Mrs.

Very inspiring! I guess that I can understand how sader1970 feels, but to me, giving to Holy Cross is about ensuring that a broad cross section of bright students can attend our alma mater, and not just the scions of the well to do. It is imperative that Holy Cross be available to all who qualify, in order to fulfill our unique mission and have the kind of quality educational experience that all student benefit from. It helps everybody, and it helps our world. Watch the 175 Anniversary video again!

Taking care of family (kids and grandkids) is a priority for us as well. We have already taken care of our family (and our "final expenses"). This is paying it forward in thanks for all HC has done for us.
(You might remember that HC did not admit our oldest. He had to "settle" for being an honor student and athlete at Fairfield. We did this anyway.)

My younger son graduated from Fairfield and started another clan Jesuit branch. I donate to Fairfield every year. Perhaps I don't have the financial resources you Purple Knights have? I don't wish anything but good things for Holy Cross but I've done my share (at least I think so! )

My dad basically started the Estate Planning Committee and chaired it for many years until the school thought it should be run by an employee from the development office. On his behalf, thank you for your gift

You are most welcome - and thanks to your Dad for his work. One point, your gift need not be all that large to be noticed and to help make a difference. At this point in our lives my wife and I have decided to stop (or at least cut back on) buying "stuff." We would rather see what money we have doing some good for others. Just a thought. Also, please don't think that by my suggestion I am trying to pressure anyone to do anything. That is not the case. If someone's personal situation or preferences do not allow a legacy gift, I understand and certainly respect such a decision.
