My Lord, that man on the left is big. Is that Josh Jones? I see three easy ones and the rest are stabs
Josh Jones, Dee Goens, Ant Thompson, Malachi Alexander, Mr X, Cullen Hamilton

Ahh---I was thrown off by the "alums' title of the thread, thinking that meant that all the players in the photo were graduates. Now I see who they are clearly.

Jehyve then looks small next to Jehyve now.

I wonder how he will look in his NBA uniform?

You do realize that with his haircut, it does add a good 3”-4” to his height. That might be a sub-compartment of the elongator machine up in the Luth.😉

According to one recruiting profile, JF was 6-6, 185 as a senior at Sayreville. Now 6-8+, 225. And not many ounces of fat in that extra 40 lbs.

I think he's bigger than 225. He was probably that last year

What effect, if any, has his greater bulk had on his speed or quickness?

Apologies if I already posted this, but I ran into JF at the Hart on Saturday, and shook hands. I got a little nervous; he easily could have snapped my hand off at the wrist and renamed me Non Alum Hook.

What effect, if any, has his greater bulk had on his speed or quickness? Not a clue On the other hand, this is no longer your father's weight training. Now-a-days they have all kinds of experts making sure quickness and flexibility are not sacrificed in the name of bulk. Floyd spent most of the summer in Worcester so I assume his workouts followed the prescribed regimen and he wasn't simply pumping up with Hans and Franz

That is a relief to hear. Nice SNL analogy...back when it was still funny. the proper strength training and added bulk will make an athlete quicker and more explosive, i.e. a functionally superior athlete. just look at sprinters (who are often quite muscular) versus skinny marathon runners. despite having much more mass, mass in the right places makes the sprinters far more explosive. jehyve is clearly stronger and more powerful now than as a freshman, and I suspect he is also quicker (in a straight line and laterally) as well as a better leaper.

Nice SNL analogy...back when it was still funny. Too true. The show is unwatchable...and the ratings suggest that.

The bit SNL did on Alexa SILVER for senior citizens is hysterical (check it out on U-Tube). But at times they are so impressed by themselves that their satire misses the mark.

Poor Blake Verbeek must be having a blast trying to guard JF in the low blocks at practice. Great experience, at least!
Can't get over the size of Jehyve......that transformation from high school is almost Patrick Wheartyesque
