Wouldn't a game at 11:30 AM a week from Friday make more sense?

School kids who skip school? Or is there some deal in place with Boston, Cambridge or Newton to have this game part of someone's school day?

Many teams host this type of game once a year. It's usually tied in with field trips of area schools.

Recruiting future fans is almost as important as recruiting future players...clearly not equal but what good is having talented players if no one comes to see them play?

I finally got off my butt and looked it up: "Fans remember BC will hold the annual Field Trip Day against Holy Cross on Thursday, Nov. 15. The game is free to attend for all students K-through-8 and their chaperones. If you are a teacher interested in bringing your class or school, please contact Drew Read at readan@bc.edu or 617-552-0787."
