My guess is you'll hear why he won't...

can Grandy win it with one terrific game ? grandison certainly was terrific today. he led us in scoring (25 points), rebounds (9), and assists (8), with a big block and a bunch of clutch plays throughout the game. if he keeps up his strong play, and he has been our most consistent performer this year so it is highly likely that he will, he could also be making a solid case for all-pl recognition come year end.

can Grandy win it with one terrific game ? No PL team played more than one game this week, so that is not an issue. I see three candidates: - Grandison - Jimmy Sotos (Bucknell) - 14 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists (tournament record) vs 1 turnover in a 26-point win over UNLV in Diamond Head Classic 3rd place game. - Andrew Kostecka (Loyola) - 27 points, 8 rebounds in a 33 point loss to NC State Voters for this usually prefer a win and seem to generally ignore the quality of the opposition or how good a win was, so that would give the edge to Grandison.

Indeed he could. IIRC, he has improved greatly since his first year. Perhaps that will happen next year as well with some of the players on this team (or is that simply impossible)?

Looking at our friend KenPom's offensive efficiency ratings (yes, only 1/2 the game) we see that Grandy got a 150 and played all 40 minutes. Sotos got a sensational 171 for his 27 minute stint. Kostecka played 34 minutes and got a 105--he exceeded that in each of the 6 games that preceded the NC State blowout.
