Give BU credit, every time the needed a 3, they hit it!

BU still shooting 60%+ EFG. Other than Navy, every PL team has pretty much picked this defense apart.
Pass-dribble-shoot is not enough.

Does the 1 3 1 give up enough open looks from three?

What a total embarrassment.
Getting outcoached by Joe Jones is never a good thing.
BU had the worst defense in the PL entering the game. We failed to crack 60 on them.

Need one ball for Butler, and one for the other four guys on the floor.

Need one ball for Butler, and one for the other four guys on the floor. For the season, yes. But hard to fault him tonight. He had a nice game, all things considered. Kyle Copeland shooting as many times as Floyd isn’t a recipe for success

BU is not a very good team - and it gets much tougher for us on the back nine. Very discouraging

Kyle Copeland shooting as many times as Floyd isn’t a recipe for success Butler constantly hunting for his own shots hurts the flow of the offense for the rest of the guys on the floor, and prevents Grandison, Green, and Floyd from getting consistent looks. (Also gets caught napping on the weak side of the defense quite often.)

HC a lowly 56% DR, 9% OR. BU EFG, 63%. Can't expect to be successful if defense and rebounding are afterthoughts.

Grandison with another disappointing performance, five points. He's also disappeared as a rebounder - just eleven boards in the last five games.

Very discouraging We are not a good team either - I'm just tired of losing and I don't know why I keep coming back for more. The first half against Michigan, which I traveled to, seems like 100 years ago. Hard to believe some Michigan fans said to me "your team looks really good out there."

The Holy Cross Official who agreed to the Turnpike Trophy annual competition had more basketballs and soccer balls than brains. We have gotten squashed accross the board every year, I believe, and that doesn't accomplish anything.
But how can we quit now?

The Holy Cross Official who agreed to the Turnpike Trophy annual competition had more basketballs and soccer balls than brains. We have gotten squashed accross the board every year, I believe, and that doesn't accomplish anything. But how can we quit now? “Given the close proximity of our two schools, it is natural for a rivalry to develop between Holy Cross and Boston University,” said Holy Cross director of athletics Nathan Pine in the release. “This rivalry has intensified since the Terriers joined the Patriot League, and now I expect the Turnpike Trophy will take it to a whole new level. Alumni, parents, students and fans will never have to travel far to see these outstanding match-ups, and our student-athletes and coaches are already looking forward to the opportunity to win the inaugural presentation of the trophy.” Totally clueless.

This program needs to take a step back and do some searching for a new coach. Start now and look for a former player. Memphis Penny St Johns Mullin Georgetown Ewing
All three are leading successful programs.
Get somebody that played here that knows what it's like and knows what it takes to win.

Yes, we're playing poorly and one of our (many) problems is the lack of a contribution from Floyd - that's surprising

Yes, we're playing poorly and one of our (many) problems is the lack of a contribution from Floyd - that's surprising Even before he picked up a couple fouls, Jehyve looked hesitant early when he got the ball down in his wheelhouse, passing up shooting opportunities he would normally take advantage of.
The team took fifty-one shots tonight - Floyd took four of them.

We need someone who knows how to COACH, and can develop a scheme that will make our whole greater than the sum of our parts. The last three coaches we’ve had were not close to capable of doing this.
