This is getting ugly. 11-2 loss in game one and down 6-0 in the 3rd inning in game two. No pitching so far this season, even from our top checkers Do we really have to play LSU this week ?

Very disheartening start. With Dvorak on the mound, today is a must win. Looks like we’ll have bullpen games on Mon and Wed.

A must win on March 3 ? Against a superior team that has been practicing outside for months ?? Must wins come in May, maybe late April, in PL games

So happy that it wasn't the "real" Nichols (established 1815) in Dudley, MA that Holy Cross beat. Congrats to the guys on their first win of the season. They had a lot of chances in prior games but were able to finish this one out with a win.

Having a win under their belt going into So Miss, will feel much better than otherwise. Hopefully, they can get win #2 today and get some momentum.

Soph Garret Keough on the mound today - with our pitching struggles, we need one of these sophs to step up and get some confidence during this trip - no score in the 2nd inning today vs; McNeese.

Isn't that what Dvorak did yesterday?

I should say 'other' sophs - there's a slew of soph pitchers and we need more than one to contribute (and with 2 sr starters, it's critical going forward)

2-0 McNeese bottom 6 - so far no hits for HC, only 3 for McNeese - Kyle Johnson has replaced Keogh on the mound.

HC down 4-0 as they come up in the top of the 9th (looking for a second hit).
McNeese has only 5 hits in 8 innings, but 5 HC errors have not helped the Crusaders

HC broke through for one run, but lost 4-1. The team is now 1-9...ouch!

1-14 baseball !! Do any of our teams have a record of 500 or better ? Our athletics program is in bad shape.

For better or worse, the athletic dept is right were the school brass wants it to be: high percentage of students participating, high GPA's among most athletes, and a high graduation rate. These factors trump winning at the moment.

As ACTP noted above, and many others have posted elsewhere...inter-collegiate sports exist today at HC for reasons very different than at a BC, PC or Villanova.
Those aren't our "athletic peers" anymore....they are now (and probably have been for 30+ years) Colgate, Bucknell, Lafayette etc.
