Anybody know where Tuesday's baseball game is? Neither site, HC or BC, says where. Clearly "at Holy Cross", as in "at Fitton", ain't happening. Only difference is HCs says 5PM, BCs 3PM. So stay tuned.

1-14 baseball !! Do any of our teams have a record of 500 or better ? Our athletics program is in bad shape. Need to see Bring Back's breakdown of athletic performance under Pine. It's worse than FADDR. Posted some numbers in another thread, but here are some more. Notes: -My spreadsheet only goes back to 2011-12 -Pine total = 14-15 thru winter sports 18-19 (Pine hired of 12/17/13) -Regan last 3 = 11-12, 12-13, 13-14 -Records include 12 D1 sports with W-L records are included -- M+W Basketball, Baseball, Football, M Hockey, M+W Lax, M+W Soccer, Field Hockey, Softball, Volleyball)
-"Primary Sports" = MBB, Football, Men's Hockey Stat | Wins | Losses | Ties | W% | Pine Total | 528 | 861 | 60 | .385 | Regan Last 3 | 372 | 572 | 24 | .397 | - |
| | | | Pine Total Primary | 164 | 205 | 29 | .448 | Regan Last 3 Primary | 112 | 120 | 10 | .483 | - |
| | | | Pine Total - NP Hires
| 260 | 461 | 35 | .367 | Pine Total - DR Hires | 268 | 400 | 25 | .405 |
Teams with a winning season during Pine's tenure: 5 (56 seasons)Teams with a winning season during Regan's last 3: 12 (36 seasons)

We are not in a good place coming off this disappointing preseason in the south. I know the competition was tough but we exposed many flaws with this roster, especially pitching. BC won one of three at Louisville this past weekend and will be a very big test for us to even keep it close. Might be better to hope for a postponement until April to see if we can fix a few things.

I was going to go, but with the time and location change, I won't be able to make it. It was to be on the PL Network, wonder if that will change as well.

It is 3-3 in the second. Rocco Baldelli's younger brother plays for the Eagles.

As I posted previously here we really don't have to talent to play an ACC team, even a 2nd tier one - it's 6-3 BC in the bottom of the third, they have 10 hits already and still batting - we're on our 3rd pitcher - I hope it's a 7 inning game

10-4 after 5 innings - this Malgeri kid looks to be the real deal - he's 3 for 3 with a single, double and triple

Don't we have guys who played in various summer leagues, Cape, LI, etc which include this caliber of pitching?

Only two position players who would have faced premier pitching this past summer are Masel (regular season) and Volpi (playoffs) when they were on conditional/short-term contracts with Falmouth and collectively got only ~30 total AB's between the two of them.

I like the photo of Friedman Field. Well framed. It looks like there is an older wooden press box in right field. Nice to preserve historic baseball fields. Northeastern had an older neighborhood field for football in Brookline, too, IIRC. Thanks NU for not dropping baseball like BU, PC, UVM, etc. did...even if you did drop football.

The huskies are a very good team and we'll have our hands full. They do not have the comprehensive athletic program such as ours (i.e. # of teams) but have decided to give schollies in sports such as baseball. NU went to the ncaa's last spring as an at-large pick after losing in their conference tourney. That says a lot

NU's approach is working for them. In HC's case, in addition to all other considerations, whose hearts are you going to break if the school decides to downsize, or as some might say right-size its number of sports? I hope there is a way to improve performance across the board without getting the meat cleaver out.

Field is nice, but if anyone is going, parking is horrible. There are a few spots down 3B line, but certainly at risk from foul balls. Otherwise, try to find a spot in the street.
