Terry Dischinger should have been in the hall decades ago and Ernie as well
Ernie played in the first college game I saw---visited my brother at HC when I was HS senior--had to sit in the Little Theatre

I suggest you read up on Majerus’ treatment of Lance Allred before you call him a terrific person.

That’s interesting. I didn’t realize he was homophobic, too. All kidding aside, it’s pretty interesting to look at how many of his former players at Utah transferred over the years.
He said this to Lance Allred, who is deaf: “Lance, you've weaseled yourself through life using your hearing as an excuse. You're a disgrace to cripples. If I was a cripple in a wheelchair and saw [the way] you play basketball, I'd shoot myself."

It's hard to believe it took this long for Ernie D to get into the HOF. Although I didn't root for PC at the time Ernie was truly a great college player. Although undersized and not very fast he could get his shot off against anyone and was an amazing passer. His behind the back pass against Maryland in the NCAA regional final was the best pass I've ever seen. He completely destroyed John Lucas in that game. It's a shame for PC that Barnes got hurt in the national semifinal game as they were hitting on all cylinders and would have almost certainly gone on to play UCLA in the final game. Although they had lost to the Bruins earlier that year I think at the level they were playing at that time it would have been a great game. In that final against Memphis Walton had probably the best game of all time in the tournament 44 points and 13 rebounds shooting 21-22 from the floor.

Agree about Ernie D., esp in the College Hall. Naismith Hall leans heavily on NBA credentials
