How long typically until 100% for a college athlete after this surgery? Depends on the severity of the tear...Since he played with it, I'd think not a bad tear, perhaps a little flap...4 months before he is ready to play at minimum..plus it then takes time to work out all the kinks...I'd guess he will be ready to go by October's start date.. ANT had labrum surgery and he wasn't the same player for a year... His range of motion wasn't the same...My daughter had labrum surgery on both her hip and shoulder, her shoulder was never the same..she never regained full range of motion..That is not uncommon... We have to hope AB's injury was mild and he recovers fully and quickly! It also depends on how the surgery was done. If it was an "open procedure", healing and rehab will take longer than if the surgery was done via an arthroscope. $ months would be optimistic but reasonable and possible if it was arthroscopic.

no no no and no
There's labral surgery and there's labral surgery. Fax me an op note and I'll tell you when he'll be back +/- two weeks
Any other estimate is 100% conjecture

Is there any reason the surgery would not be arthroscopic ?
