Sadly, I only really appreciated his play after he graduated. I knew he was good, but only in hindsight did I realize just how good he was.

Simmons and Thomas, Potter and Vicens, Palazzi and Heinsohn. Who would some of the other top HC duos be?

Simmons and Thomas, Potter and Vicens, Palazzi and Heinsohn. Who would some of the other top HC duos be? I never saw them play but from what I have heard, Blaney and Shea formed a pretty impressive backcourt. Cousy and whomever must deserve consideration. Siudut and Hochstein certainly come to mind. Maybe Wendelken and Lloyd Hinchey. Perry and Kelly although it ended prematurely.

And another of our successful MichigandersđŸ™‚. Let’s hope Drew Lowder, Ryan Wade and Blake Verbeek can lead us to our 7th PL title like Rick, Billy Walker, Rob Feaster, Roger Breslin, Frank Powell et al. led us to our first.

Pernell and Williams may have my vote for most underrated duo.....Whearty and Szatko.... I remember when HC was going to play UMass during Pernell and Williams years.. I was friendly with one of the UMass assistants, and they were very concerned about HC's "Ferraris in the backcourt"...2 UMass assistants were dispatched to HC to see the HC backcourt in person for Coach Cal..

Who won? Not sure what year it was, Holy Cross won in a close game ..98-90.. in the 88-89 season at the Hart.... and lost at UMass the season before, 89-85...

Will HC ever expect to be competitive in such games again? Times have changed so much. There may be a surprise now and then but things are so different now.

Yes we did (82-78). How I wish we could go back to those "thrilling days of yesteryear." OK, to the ooc results of last year.
