The newly limited April recruiting period is this weekend only. Those twitter people please be on alert for HC sightings.

I wonder if there is one recruit HC, Colgate, and Richmond are after, or others as well?

I know Marquette is looking at Matt Cross. always nice to see your posts, ge. what’s your take on wojo? followed him since high school (played in the same league and against each other many times growing up) and always knew he was going places, but haven’t really been following marquette closely.

Dadominate, I like Wojo as our head coach but the fact is he has zero NCAA wins in 5 years and taken Marquette to the tournament only twice. Marquette fizzled down the stretch last year (1-8 in the last 9 games after going 22-3 to start) and a lot of fans blame Wojo for allowing Markus Howard to be a ball hog and play "hero" ball too much. The Hauser brothers were not getting the ball enough and complained to Wojo, as did other teammates. Wojo told the players that he'd take care of their concerns but he never did. Other players were not happy either. The Hausers have had enough of Wojo as coach (they still like Markus personally) and have decided to transfer. This was a stab in the gut to Marquette fans, alumni and students who had invested a lot into the Hausers. Sam is the one who wanted to leave more than his brother Joey and the parents. Marquette was rated #2 preseason by ESPN for 2020 the same week they announced they were leaving. My hunch is the Hausers will transfer to Wisconsin which is like Tommy Heinsohn and Togo Palazzi transferring to BC back in the day. Sam's girlfriend is a volleyball player there and his Stevens Point, WI high school teammate and best friend, Trevor Anderson is a sub on Wisconsin's basketball team. Its going to be ugly when the Badgers come to Milwaukee in two years as the Hausers have gone from Marquette royalty to the Benedict Arnold brothers. Michigan State, Virginia and Iowa are other possibilities, Personally, I blame Wojo, not Sam and Joey but fans feel slighted and betrayed. Wojo needs NCAA success this year or many fans will be calling for his head after 6 seasons.

Will they make the tourney with the Hausers gone ? I think so. They are a fringe Top 25 team right now and pretty much have everybody else back from last season except the Hausers. They are also in on some grad transfers.

What am I missing re: the older Hauser brother? Why would anyone sit out a year to transfer for one season (and why would another school want him; a lot can happen in a year)? Does he have an additional year available to him after that year?

You want the younger, you must take the elder.
