PG - Green, Lowder SG - Butler, Wade, LeSann, Copeland SF - Grandison, Hargis, Pridgen PF - Niego, Sandy C - Faw, Verbeek
Some interchangeability, of course, but front court is perilously thin and under-sized anyway you slice it. A lot of pressure on Faw and Niego (if healthy).

Given that projected roster, a VERY successful season would be a match of last year's record (16W - 17L).

Too many guards, need a big man.

Grandy has played far more 4 than 3 in his two years With the most dominant defensive big man in the PL playing behind him. The newcomers look to be fairly athletic. Maybe we will see more man to man defense which might translate to better rebounding, (I know there is only one direction for our rebounding to go and that is up), and the end of the fly bys on defense. Both of those developments would be most welcome.

We'll be lucky to go .500 next season, in what will hopefully be Carmody's last.

Absolute disgrace that Carmody still has his job after what he's done to the roster.

Grandy has played far more 4 than 3 in his two years Whether Grandison is a 4 or 3, he is not a plus defender anywhere, and his rebounding has declined precipitously since conference play in 2017-18.
The bigger point is that, defensively, there is nobody reliable in the paint and protecting the rim, making the highly-problematic fly-by "strategy" on the perimeter even more perilous . Faw and Niego are liabilities at that end and extremely foul-prone ( 1 and 2 on the team in PFs per 40).
Four freshmen and three returnees who have been unproductive so far mean we likely have depth issues similar to last year, especially up front.

You have to wonder just how big Carmody's ego is and how stubborn he is to think he can trot out a roster like this with a dearth of big men who can actually rebound and play defense inside.
It's very obvious he plans on just being able to out-shoot teams. Unfortunately, when shots aren't falling, we have no plan B.

Maybe our opponents won't notice (or hear about) our glaring weakness and sort of bomb away from the outside while we hit three after three ourselves. As long as both teams stay out of the paint we should pretty much be OK next year. OK being 12-15 wins (sub .500)

I sense your sarcasm but unfortunately, that seems to be where the game is these days. I am not an NBA watcher but I have watched a little of this year's playoffs. From what I have seen it has become a game of 3 point shooting. It isn't unusual to see a player drive within 5 feet of the hoop and then kick it out to a teammate camped out behind the 3 point line.

No doubt the game has changed - and the 3-pointer seems more popular than ever. Beyond the kick-out 3-pointer, one can now routinely observe the fast break (2-on-one or even 3-on-one) pullup 3-pointer.
Separate and apart from that we should be OK next year as long as our opponents cooperate with us by staying out of the paint on offense and defense.

You damn well be hitting that pull up 3 at better than 60 percent, because a 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 break should result in close to 100 percent shooting on 2 point field goal attempts
