10-0. Big play before the TD was to Smith. Kalif got his first snap on the play and took two guys deep with him to open up the field for Smith. Let’s go!

17-7 Titans. With 6:30 left in the first half, the Chiefs are starting their third possession of the game. Vrabel is a good coach.

Half could not have ended worse. 21-17 Chiefs and they start with the ball in the second half. Need a change of momentum play quickly.

On the Titans' last possession, why didn't they throw long to Kalif? He wasn't even on the field at that point.

Well, it was a fun ride with Kalif and the Titans this year. His performance in the second half of the year gives him a dramatically better chance of having a job next year. Would be great to see him re-sign with the Titans as he seems very happy there and they seem to have a good handle on how to use him.

Outside of his returns, yesterday he appeared to me mostly a decoy. No question the Chiefs were ready for a bomb to Kalif but they seemed to be even more ready for what had been an unstoppable Titans running game. Don't believe any passes thrown Kalif's way. Maybe in next year's Super Bowl?

Cameron Batson re-signing with the Titans not good news for Kalif. Batson is a 5’8” speedster with experience in the return game. His training camp injury opened the door for Kalif to fill that role. I suspect the two of them will be fighting for one roster spot. Luckily, Kalif opened some eyes last year and should have an easier time finding another job if it doesn’t work out with the Titans. www.titansonline.com/news/titans-agree-to-one-year-contract-extension-with-wr-cameron-batson

Titans have to sign Kalif who is a free agent, I believe - sure his agent is assessing his worth if the Titans don't step up with a decent offer.

Kalif is signed through the 2020 season. As always, he can be cut at any time but he does have a contract for next season

Neither Tajae Sharpe nor Darius Jennings will be back with the Titans next year. Helps Kalif’s chances of making the team even with Batson back.

With the Titans not taking a WR in the draft, Kalif is currently their 4th WR behind AJ Brown, Corey Davis and Adam Humphries. Lots of time left between now and opening day but in a good spot at the moment.

www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29123249/source-titans-declining-fifth-year-option-corey-davisDavis is a post-hype prospect for the uninitiated, who never realized his potential or ceiling with the team. Granted, the QB situation was tenuous at times, but it appears that the money invested in Humphries in the slot role and AJ Brown's emergence as a 2nd rounder picking up 1,000 + yards last season made him expendable. For Kalif, I think that it only expands his opportunities. We see plenty of roles for burner-type WRs to hit home runs on deep passes, or at least come in and gas the opposing CB for a couple of plays.

Maybe the Titans are telling Kalif that he has an important role to play for the team this coming season.
Having played three seasons Kalif has qualified for an NFL pension. It would be great to see him add another half-dozen seasons to his base and cash some big paychecks as well as he scores some more touchdowns

Will be interesting to see if they try to re-sign him at a lower salary. No way they could justify paying him $15.68M next season. But, he allegedly is wildly talented. Would certainly be worth taking a chance on at a much lower salary.

I agree '92, the Titans may take another run at him because they are otherwise "weak" at the position despite the bodies and my personal feelings. However, I would bet if the Jets or Giants have any cap room they would take a stab in free agency, as well as the Pats, Packers, Colts, Raiders, and Chargers.

We see plenty of roles for burner-type WRs to hit home runs on deep passes, or at least come in and gas the opposing CB for a couple of plays. ESPN agrees. From today’s post-draft power ratings, which included a player on each roster that benefited the most from his team’s draft-day decision making: 8. Tennessee Titans Player who benefited: WR Kalif Raymond. The Titans were believed to be interested in adding speed at receiver, specifically a vertical threat on the outside. But they didn't use any picks to add a wideout, so Raymond stands as their top vertical threat and has a good shot at being the fourth receiver. He showed that he's a legitimate downfield option last season, when he hauled in two touchdown receptions that were over 40 yards -- including one in the playoffs. Raymond was also in the mix for punt return duties last year, and the Titans didn't draft a player with significant punt return experience. -- Turron Davenport
