Do you mean he will leave after one year?

While I was having fun (that's what Crossports should be, right?), I thought Mitch was more than just a shooter but he was that.
He averaged 13.2 min per game, 4.7 ppg and averaged 2.2 rebounds in those 13 minutes on the court. Total time on the floor, 303 minutes and produced 23 assists to 21 turnovers but had 13 blocks and 4 steals. He hit 45% of his shots, 37% beyond the arc and was a 78% free throw shooter.
And this was before he had any real chance to develop his career under MB's tutoring! This young man had a lot of upside.

I don't know about anyone else but I am expecting Austin to be the "second coming of Mitchell Hahn." Anything less and I will be crushed! I want his first shot to be a made 3 pointer from around the midcourt line. I know you're just having some fun with this but the point does merit expansion. Whereas one might say that Mitchell Hahn was one-dimensional, but exceptional at that one dimension, shooting; I think Austin Butler will bring a much broader set of skills and tendencies to the game.... based on the videos we have seen, I totally agree

Should a bball player be throwing the shot? Isn't there a risk of joint injury?

The shot put did not hurt Wilt Chamberlain...one of the country's best in high school and college. Denied olympic competition because he was a pro basketball player.

AB also finished 4th in the triple jump. Looks like Austin came up against some pretty good javelin throwers as the first three finished within 2 feet of each other and then it was 34 feet back to the #4 finisher.

here's a brief recent video of butler from a player of the year promo shoot, featuring some up-close shots. his physical development for a high school senior - and a guard with such fantastic shooting range at that - is truly exceptional.
can't wait to see butler in purple!

I like that he is such an athlete! So much carry over from one sport to another...mental toughness jumps out at me, he is all alone with that Jav on the runway!

The legend grows . . .
Latrobe Jethawks @latrobejethawks · Jun 7
FINAL: Latrobe 12, West Hempfield 2. Jethawks improve to 2-1 in District 31 and 5-1 overall. Austin Butler fires a no-hitter.

When he hits some last second shot to win a game, will we be saying "The Butler did it?" Henceforth, I will just refer to AB as "Superman."
