I am as excited as anybody watching Butler's highlight reels and seeing his points pile up. But at the risk of being Debbie Downer, I think maybe we should pump the breaks a bit on our expectations. He didn't have any D1 offers other than from us, and there has to be a reason for that.

We have had a lot of great players from New York. Here's a link to the NY HS scoring records where, at a quick glance, you see recognizable names like Kenny Anderson, Sebastian Telfair, and Jimmer Fredette towards the top of the list. I'll look further and see if there are any Crusaders on it www.roadtoglensfalls.com/reference/records-scoring-career.shtmlRyan Creighton is the real NYS leader the Lincoln coach falsified Stephenson's(and Telfair's) stats. He got away with it since there are no official NYC PSAL stats.

VC says he had Navy and UNH.

While we are looking at this, where can one now find the list that we use to have of all-time players and their career numbers?

Looks like teams are denying him the three and he has adapted his game to still score big

Of course we all knew he played football, but I did not know he was a javelin thrower as well. Does HS use the same javelin as college? If so, I think he'd be our best javelin thrower upon arrival on campus.....

That is virtually the same as the college javelin - 800 grams (1 lb, 12.219 oz.).

This is one strong guy--I think that is a big, big help in shooting threes and it no doubt serves him well underneath the basket as well
The 190 foot javelin throw--his school record--would have been good for 6th at the Patriot League championships last Spring

Austin had 31 in a 77-58 win He had 18 in the third quarter, 28 in the second half. I'd love to get a video of a full game to see the full range of his skills. The highlight tape wowed many of us as it showed him draining threes from five feet behind the arc. I don't know about tonight's game but I believe he has been doing more scoring closer to the basket lately--maybe the defense is geared to keeping him from taking threes and he just goes by it to score twos........ 28 points in one half is remarkable...
