Central Arkansas may be about to get the first FBS scalp of the season by an FCS team.
Leading Western Kentucky 35-28 under 3:00 to go.
UCONN held on for W.

Was at the UConn game. I don't see them winning another game this year. Their offensive line was absolutely atrocious tonight against a D-Line that probably averaged 50 pounds a guy less. It actually looked like Wagner was going to get the ball back with a chance to win, but a questionable facemask negated a third down stop. I couldn't see if the facemask call was legit, but the Wagner coach went absolutely ballistic on the sideline. Mensah, the UConn RB from Worcester, is not going to make it to October. He must have carried the ball 40 times, and took a few ridiculous hits. I hope Edsell doesn't selfishly ruin the kid just to try and save his job.

Agree with that assessment - was not at the game but just reading between the lines of various preseason articles this team might be as bad as last year's - their lone win last year was by 7 points over URI, and i'm sure UConn's AD was quick to hand over the game check to that official before he got to his car. A sad state of affairs that will be begging for a review of their decision to go FBS INDY.

Syracuse vs Liberty tomorrow is intriguing. We'll get an idea if Syracuse is really a top 25 team.

If this was a normal university setting, I'd say a Northern team opening on the road at night before a revved up (or should I say likkered-up) Southern crowd is a recipe for disaster. Perhaps Liberty's faithful (in more ways than one) are a bit tamer than that.

Wake Forest hosting a good Utah State team tonight at 8pm on the new ACCN network nationally.
Deacs are 4.5 favorite

No skin in the game for us this year, but old foes UMass and Rutgers are playing today. 1st meeting in 40 years I believe.
2 teams we should also play moving forward.
Shame Princeton and Rutgers aren't playing this 150th year of college football.

UMASS got absolutely DESTROYED by Southern Illinois today at McGuirk.
UCONN lost surprisingly at home to Illinois aka the definition of a P5 athletic program in shambles. Their Week 0 opponent Wagner, who they narrowly beat, lost 24-14 to DII East Stroudsburg.
East Stroudsburg would probably win the PL.

Sorry ny - but no Conn loss is "surprising". When they play UMess later this season the crown for worst 1A squad in the country will be up for grabs.

So you fit the old saying, "Tarheel born and Tarheel bred and when I die I'll be a Tarheel dead." All of my friend's daughters went to NC State. That is some rivalry.i

Sorry ny - but no Conn loss is "surprising". When they play UMess later this season the crown for worst 1A squad in the country will be up for grabs. I meant to say "unsurprisingly". Autocorrect. My point was that its sad that its "unsurprising" that they loat at home to a dead-wood Power Conference team. Assuming Illinois was favored on the road?

Yes. Illini was favored by almost 3 TDs. Didn't cover.
