Athlon and Lindy’s both have Grandison and Green still at HC one picked us 10th, the other 9th Drew Lowder was chosen by Lindy’s as PL pre season rookie of the year.

Interesting. It does seem to show how closely the move of two of our top players was followed outside of Crossports. I do like reading that last point snd hope it turns out to be true about Drew.

I'm guessing Loyola's Santi Aldama, the 6-11 C from Spain (and MVP of the FIBA U-18 Euro championship this year), will be the favorite for RoY when PL voters weigh in with their pre-season picks. There are many promising freshmen in the conference.

That's a sobering thought picked 9th and 10th prior to losing arguably our two best players. Given our current situation Lowder will certainly be given every opportunity to make a big splash in the PL, but I would have to agree with WooGray that Aldami will probably be the preseason pick for ROY. In the clips I've seen of him he's a very skilled big who can shoot and handles the ball well for a 7 footer. Like a lot of European bigs he seems to prefer playing on the perimeter. Fox's basketball expert ranks him as a top 60 player in this years freshmen class. Loyola could be very good this year as they are returning their key players from last year.

Lehigh has two freshmen guards - Jake Betlow and Reed Fenton - whom we were chasing early on in the 2019 recruiting cycle. Both should help the Mountain Hawks right away.
Bucknell and Colgate each has three incoming players 6-8 or taller - that's as many as Holy Cross has on its entire scholarship roster.

There are many promising freshmen in the conference. PL polls never include RoY as a category. Much of winning a rookie award is opportunity. The Loyola freshmen, the Lehigh guards, and Lowder all have a decent shot. I doubt any Bucknell freshmen will get the award, since none of them are likely to be starters as they might be for some other teams.
