Ches turned down more $ than offered when he was hired and asked it be spread around in the manner. Happens often, we just don't hear about it.

Doubt that many coaches donate half a mill after turning down a raise. AIR, he currently make's about $4,000,000 per not including camps and endorsements. He can afford the donation.
