Have known Tommy and his family since 1972, and we were successfully recruiting him until Duke popped in and his coach Red Jenkins pushed him to the ACC.
Tommy is a great guy, his Godfather/Uncle Caroll, was a very special man and wanted him to go to HC. I wish him great success except our games each year.

The perks of being "non-scholarship".
How the service academies fail to take advantage of their own ability to field 20+ basketball rosters to succeed at the PL level is a head-scratcher. They sure use this to their advantage in football.

They sure use this to their advantage in football. Reminds me of when Wilt Chamberlain joined the Lakers and Red Auerbach was asked how he could possibly defend Jerry West, Elgin Baylor and Wilt on the floor at once. He dryly responded: "There's still only one ball." I agree depth is helpful over a long season. Maybe the head coach doesn't want to be herding that many cats all season for the production he would get out of players 15-20.

A lot of teams do better when it's abundantly clear who should be out there. That many guys can't be used effectively.

That heralded recruiting class of a few years ago are now seniors. One last chance to get to the dance. Big year for them, I would say. They also will need to beat HC at the Hart to split with the Saders for their 4 years.
