What is Bob Cousy's connection to the DCU Center? It's his connection to the city of Worcester, where he has lived for many decades, that is pertinent here

I should have mentioned that here in Louisville at Slugger Field (AAA ballpark) we have statues of Pee Wee Reese and Paul Hornung, both long-time Louisvillians. Neither played at that venue but it seemed a good place to honor the two men.

Harold “Pee Wee” was one of my childhood heroes. the statue of him putting his arm around Jackie Robinson (totally accurate or not) is an iconic image. It stands outside the Mets minor league team’s(the Cyclones, after the legendary roller coaster) park, appropriately in Brooklyn, Coney Island to be exact. it is well worth seeing.

I'd love to see that statue. Jackie Robinson is one of my all-time favorite players (from having studied baseball history as I was 3 when he retired) and would make my all-time team as a utility player as he excelled at so many positions.

If you are in the city it is worth a trip, not only for the statue. The park is set right next to the Boardwalk, facing the Atlantic. Hard to have a better location for a game. We saw Michael Conforto play there as a rookie.
