Same thing every year, start out great beating a top 10 team and then descend into baffling mediocrity.

ADMB has some decisions to make with men’s soccer and men’s hockey.

ADMB has some decisions to make with men’s soccer and men’s hockey. Hockey decision is easy. He’s not getting it done and we have the sample size to prove it. It’s a very attractive job.

Why is it an attractive job? I like to hear this explanation! I would absolutely put it in the bottom 20 percent of jobs in the country.

That, alone, would make it relatively attractive to a prospective coach.

Many factors from amount spent per participant, hockey scholarships available for new recruits and which ones are currently tied up (and would not allow him or her to shape the team to their wishes), recruiting money spent, salary and benefits. Holy Cross spent $12,550 per participant last year with a total operating expense of $351,396. By contrast, ADMB's former institution, BC spent $47,266 per participant and $1,228,907 total operating expenses. Merrimack, still a Hockey East foe (we probably should have beat this year) has a relatively modest budget of $13,797/$386,307. From ope.ed.gov/athletics/#/In some ways, our lack of success under the current coach with an operating budget slightly less than Merrimack College is all the more reason for a change. It also gives us hope we can compete in Hockey East should the opportunity present itself.
