I held my breath on the final shot with 1 sec to go. I thought for sure the Lafayette player was fouled, Maybe the contact was after the horn sounded? Whatever.....it's a win. She may have gotten the call if she didnt go sprawling to the floor. Because of that it looked like a possible flop play

Can anyone venture a guess what the story is with Faulkner ? getting the feeling we'll see less of her going forward as the school is hush on her ailment and a 'dnp' again today. We do not have enough depth if she's out for the season

Laffy's 2nd half 3-2 zone gave HC fits...They got to shooters and did a good job of taking away passing lanes inside..plus Laffy's bigs protected the rim pretty well! HC didn't find a way to get shooters open very often...I would make use of the short corner more..

We do not have enough depth if she's out for the season It is an interesting situation because when she plays there is no discernable impairment. As a freshman, Addie Cross could be at the start of an upward projection but I don't see her replacing Faulkner's height and skill this year. Well, definitely not height.

...and has there been anything definitive on Coach Parks? Again, not on bench.
LOA, resigned, terminated (doubtful), whatever.

I just watched the game and the final play several times. Swords did not give Lafayette player room to land and that's a foul. HC lucky to win but you need to win some of these.

LOA or Sick leave or Family medical leave. She is still on the website, above the first year DBO, but below the two assistant coaches with less seniority. Oops, upon closer inspection the assistant coaches are listed alphabetically.
Whatever the situation, the events of the last year could have been upsetting and I wish her well. Even though I don't mind speculating, the Calvin Coolidge reticence about injuries and leaves is the proper approach by Holy Cross.

our 2nd half shooting: 7 of 27 fg (incl 2 of 11 from 3), 7 of 14 from the line - very fortunate to get the W. If I'm ADMB, I start thinking if Coach Mac is the answer long term - IMO, she has to do a better job and it starts with the prep for Bucknell on Saturday. Does AM get any credit for prepping with two available assistant coaches instead of three? I am a proponent of two assistants instead of three so I don't see it as a huge disadvantage. The young DBO gets thrown into the fire right away and you still have four pairs of eyes to break down film.

But you think only two are necessary?

Addie Cross isn’t close to Faulkner - Cross cannot get a shot off against this D. 1 competition- I hope she’s a superb defender - the skill dropoff from our senior class in a big concern with the only exception being LaBarbera.

Agree, for next year it's AL and ? and pray for rain. It better be a stellar freshman class. But we'll have a vastly improved men's team on which to focus.

I'm not certain that we can judge her shooting ability on the basis of the 10 shots she's taken so far. She is a pass first point and seems to be adjusting reasonably well to the step up in competition. She has played pretty good defense so far. You may be right about the drop off, but it's difficult to judge as basically, everybody else is either injured or still recovering from one. Ezemma has the talent, she's a great rebounder & defender, and she showed the offensive skill last year, I just can't figure out why she has regressed on the offensive side. She is rushing every single shot.

I was there also. There was a female artist who performed in the Fieldhouse also, can't remember her name, as well as Chicago, iirc. I also saw James Taylor in Harrington Auditorium at WPI right before he hit it big as I recall, as well as the Beach Boys at a half full Paris Cinema in downtown Worcester on a weeknight during their out of favor period. The band members took a smoke break in front of the Theater at intermission and chatted with fans. Very low key. I always loved them but it wasn't cool to for a while.

I want to say Maria Muldaur, but it might have been another singer who was a solo act with some musicians backing her.

They must have been signed by Father Brooks, class of '49, not the 1843 Club.😁 If you mean the singer I'm thinking of, she had musicians but they didn't get the billing of a Glen Miller Orchestra.

Dionne Warwick was the 1971 Winter Homecoming concert. Maria Muldur would have been after Dionne.
