I find it very interesting that the team practiced at Jefferson University today. For those who may not know, there is a personal connection to Holy Cross to the recreation center, that the team used. The Recreation center is named after James Gallagher, who was the 10th President of Philadelphia University. Jim Gallagher was Assistant Director of Admissions under Jim Halpin during the 1967-1968 academic year. Very nice to see that he is recognized. I enjoyed my conversations with Jim, and is he was one of the deciding factors in my attending HC. www.jeffersonrams.com/facilities/Gallagher_Center

Why are we practicing in the Philadelphia area?

Why are we practicing in the Philadelphia area? With no classes, easier to hang in PA instead of late bus trip home from PA after Lafayette game Wed (arriving early Thursday AM) and then taking a bus back to PA Friday for Bucknell game Saturday

If we have any advantage over Bucknell in this game it may be our quickness.
I am interested in seeing how JP does in this game

Bruce Moore, who missed the past few games with a concussion, is expected to start tomorrow. Newman will be a sub. Moore is good defensively, but his offense has been woeful this year. Has completely lost his ability on outside shots. He averages 9.5 ppg in 24 mpg. Ben Robertson, who started the first three games of the year, remains out with a back injury - something that has affected him off and on the past couple of years.

Actually think quickness is even, but no significant size issues as we had against Lafayette. Fwiw, Pomeroy's "average height" measurement - which weights the height of each team's players by the minutes they play - has Bucknell as a taller team than Lafayette. Unfortunately they can't shoot as well however.

It will be a classic game bison ( I hope) and with some luck you can be there -you seem to be way more than knowledgeable and an equally great fan

According to the Bucknell site, this will be the 75th meeting between the Bison and the Crusaders with Bucknell leading the series 44-30. The two teams never met before PL play began 30 years ago.

Math geek observation: I believe this is the 30th season so there have been 58 regular season meetings => HC-Bucknell have met in the PL tournament 16 times (out of 29). There can't be too many league rivalries that boast that many post season meetings
