I imagine his gym is closed due to the pandemic. I emailed him after the first class to thank him, and he sent back a gracious response. He's seems like a great guy, and bleeds purple. I'm hoping some people engage him for some workouts (they can be done via Zoom).

Keith indeed seems like a great guy, because that is indeed what he is, and has always bled purple. He and Torey as roommates were as purple as purple gets,

He and Torey as roommates were as purple as purple gets, I remember Torey being interviewed in his senior year. Both he and Keith were among national leaders in steals. The reporter asked if there was competition between them and how Torey felt about being #2to Keith in total steals. Torey replied..."the year is not over yet." I always loved his attitude and Keith's. I even got used to seeing a steal, Torey racing up court and then the occasional missed layup by him. I just knew there would be more steals ahead!

One of my favorite plays of that era was at the Duke game, when Keith trailed Torey on a fast break after Torey's steal. Torey missed the layup, but Keith slammed home the rebound.
A minute later, the half ended with Pat Doherty's beautiful no look wrap around bounce pass to Eric Meister for a layup, putting HC up 28-22 at the half. One of the most exciting one minute sequences I can remember.

Those poor Duke players, according to K, were in the midst of finals when that game occurred.

There are a lot of games out there that I’d like to re-watch the first half of. Maybe even the first 3/4.

Coming from farther below the basket he had a higher chance of missing but he practiced his angles and spins which furthered his career.

[/p][/quote] I was watching this in my apartment, and when Doherty made that pass to Meister I jumped off my couch and screamed "LET'S GO!!!" so loudly that my landlady came to my door to see if everything was OK. At that moment, nothing could have been better.
